Noah & Alexandra | Wedding
Noah and Alexandra got married at the Karl Strauss Brewery gardens in Sorrento Valley. We have a feeling this will be our first of many brewery weddings. They are definitely up and coming in the trends!
Alexandra kept her floral very classic with whites and rich greens to soften the reclaimed wood and steel, and add to the garden-esque feel that the brewery also offered. The only color to really be found anywhere in the wedding was in Noah's cobalt blue tuxedo... yes, cobalt BLUE! It was absolutely amazing! I may or may not have snuck in a stalker photo from a far... You'll just have to scroll to see it.
And the floral pictures might perk your interest as well :)
BRIDAL PARTY
Alexandra's bouquet consisted of white garden roses, ivory and white roses, white dahlias, white lisianthus, and white spray roses. The greens were a mixture of ferns, Italian ruscus, and parvafolia eucalyptus. This desert landscape also really makes the elegance of this bouquet stand out!
The bridesmaids' bouquets were very similar and smaller in size than the brides.
CEREMONY
We set up shop in the parking lot due to the quick turn around from an event prior to the wedding. More about how Chris helped us out TREMENDOUSLY later, but wanted to point out the new merchandise he is modeling for us!!!
Sometimes we still can't believe we own a business!
And seriously, what auntie is supposed to get work done with this 4 month old in the corner of your workspace?! The answer is no auntie can...so I didn't, and opted for some giggle exchanges and goofy photo ops. :)
While on the topic of not getting work done... We spotted the groom and groomsmen approaching the venue, so I grabbed my camera real quick because.... COBALT BLUE tuxedo had made its grand entrance!!! When we met with Alexandra over coffee to discuss floral details, she mentioned that she had free reign in regards to choices for different things for the wedding; all her man wanted was to wear a cobalt blue tux. AND to go along with it, she even rocked some cobalt blue heels.
Ok back to work! Entrance sign to the brewery dawning a simple greenery spray.
This arch piece was so fun to assemble! We're loving the accent piece that offsets the corner spray. We are starting to receive more requests for those
and aren't complaining one bit!
There is something so subtle and natural about the corner spray, but so bold at the same time! Just incredible!
RECEPTION
The reception took place in the main restaurant space. Guests would fill the round tables while the wedding party and new Mr. & Mrs. would sit in the booths.
Chris was a HUGE help in getting brake fern leaves tucked into every single napkin. Multi-tasking of course, while carrying Hunter during his nap.
How romantic are these centerpieces?! Simplicity at its best, but so beautiful and unique! In the cloche was a single stargazer lily tucked into moss (which is covering a battery pack for the twinkle lights), paired with a bottle that had a single leather leaf stem. Very modern with a "Beauty & the Beast" kind of twist, as Chris would say.
Baby toes and business clothes :)
All in the details! Sometimes it's the little things.
Noah & Alexandra's sweetheart table had a four foot garland, with a floating wood "V" in the front for their last name Vowles, as well as a cloche.
I must say decorating the cake is the best/worst thing ever because it always smells DELICIOUS! This cake was no exception. With just a few floral accents and greenery in front, boom! Statement made.
We definitely enjoyed the smaller, intimate setup of this wedding! The garden and industrial elements really added a unique feel, one that definitely fit Noah & Alexandra's style.
We are so thrilled to have been a part of their special day!
Until next time!
xoxo,
Stephanie
