Ross & MJ | Wedding

Ross and MJ have a special place in our hearts. Ross is one of my husband's best friends from high school and MJ became one of our sweet friends when they began dating. I'll never forget when my husband first told me Ross was going to propose. I think I started screaming and jumping up and down, I was beyond excited! Seriously, no two people are more meant for each other than Ross and MJ. Their love is seen in their silly, but constant encouragement to one another and their selfless attitude of always wanting the best for each other. They understand one another and are true soulmates. Pictures don't lie... especially when they are ALL taken by the incredible Jessica Scott for Tracy Dodson Photography!

I know, I know, I should be writing about floral. I promise I'll get to it. It's worth the wait!

After Ross popped the question on February 16, 2016, Terha and I, along with Chris and Rich (our better halves), celebrated with them at Orfila Winery. MJ asked us if we would do the floral for their wedding, but was super hesitant because we would also be guests. She wanted us to be able to enjoy ourselves and not worry about anything. Terha and I said YES, absolutely YES! What an incredible honor to not only witness their wedding, but to have a role in their special day. And it meant so much more to Terha and I because we had just begun our business venture... We had no resume and a portfolio of one wedding, but MJ was so encouraging, so motivating, and so confident in who we are as people, that she trusted us to do her floral. It meant the world!

Fast forward 11 months to January 7, 2017 at The Crossings at Carlsbad on a gorgeous, sunny, Southern California day... AKA, the perfect day for a wedding!

MJ wanted white... everything white!

Classic and elegant... And speaking of elegance, can we just talk about what a STUNNING bride she made?!

Needless to say, she made the bouquet look good. Her bouquet was created with white standard roses, white garden roses, and lemon leaf.

Bridesmaids bouquets made to match with a slight variation, as we swapped the garden roses for spray roses. Just lovely against the dusty purple dress color!

Beautiful ladies!

Hard to miss this sign at the entrance with a hydrangea at the center of the spray!

Ceremony site with the ocean in the distance.

The aisle design is made up of 5,000 white rose petals. One of our favorite aisles to decorate!

The two ceremony columns are made up of white hydrangeas, white standard roses, white spray roses, and Italian ruscus.

MJ made the two mercury column vases herself!

The seating chart was simply breathtaking, especially in this lighting, captured by the amazing Jessica Scott! The spray was made of mainly Italian ruscus with an accent of white standard, garden, and spray roses.

Several different styles of mercury vases served as the base to MJ's centerpieces. And yes, in case you're wondering, she made them too.

The white is oh so dreamy, wouldn't you agree??

MJ just kept her beautiful bouquet in a vase on her sweetheart table.

No additional floral needed!

These last few photos are just to show off the radiant couple and the remarkable work of Jessica Scott for Tracy Dodson Photography.

Congratulations Ross & MJ! We are so happy for you both!

THANK YOU for letting us be a part of your special day! :)

Until next time,

xoxo,

Stephanie
